Why is Amethyst one of my favorite crystals?

A couple of years ago I went through changes in my life. From moving, changing jobs and adapting to a new city, everything was too fast for my own pace.  

I couldn’t understand what was wrong, I had lived in cities where I didn’t even speak the language, I had worked in harder and more hostile environments… and none of this happened to me before? I’ve never been homesick, because I just love to make every place I go a home… This was more than just stress, this was anxiety.

Amethyst came into my life while I was on a trip were I couldn’t even relax on vacation. I was walking (more like rushing) to get some coffee and beignets on a main street in New Orleans, when all of a sudden something in me told me to stop.

I did stopped and turned back without thinking, like something else dragged my body to the entrance of a store. I saw a big purple rock waiting there to receive me; like a caring Mom with her arms wide open at her doorstep, I felt at home.

I’ve always been drawn to crystals on my jewelry, but my relationship with that raw amethyst cluster was something else, I needed to take it home but I couldn’t explain why.

From there I noticed changes in me, I started breathing better, sleeping better, dreaming better! I couldn’t believe it, so I started learning more about crystals. Later I discovered that Amethyst is one of the best stones for anxiety. Since it balances the Crown and Third Eye Chakra, it helps you calm the stressors in your mind, making it easier to concentrate in a meditation and to fall asleep. Plus, it’s one of the stones designated for my zodiac sign: Pisces.

I am so grateful that I listened to my intuition that day. Without knowing it, I was guided to something that was going to improve my quality of life forever. A few years later and here we are today… a girl who changed her reality with just a purple stone.
